Quick questions
How old do I need to be?
Discover Mermaid and Basic Mermaid are open from age 6. PADI Mermaid is 10+, Advanced Mermaid 12+ and Mermaid Instructor 18+. EFR First Aid has no minimum age.
I'm not a strong swimmer — can I still join?
Yes. Discover Mermaid takes place in a pool shallow enough to stand in, so you only need to be comfortable in the water. Your instructor guides every step.
Do I need my own tail?
No. Mermaid fins and tails are provided for you to use during your course.
What should I bring?
A swimsuit, towel, water bottle and a hair tie for long hair — masks and goggles are provided, though you're welcome to bring your own gear. Each course page has its own checklist.
Where do the courses take place?
Pool courses use rotating venues around Kuala Lumpur and PJ, including Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort and PJ Palms. Open-water training may be arranged at a lake in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan or Malacca, or at Tioman, Tenggol, Redang, the Perhentian Islands, Kota Kinabalu or Semporna. Travel, transfers, accommodation, taxes, island fees and meals may cost extra; we confirm these before booking.
